Some other experience related to my work; I have taught two Cree language classes with the Northern Teacher Education Program. I have worked with the Gift of Language Partnership as a Curriculum Resource Developer for five years. I am fluent in Cree language in 3 dialects and northern Michif. I have participated in in the development of several locally developed programs.I was a participant in various groups with the implementation of language programs in schools. I assisted with the initial proposal for the Cree Teacher Education Program (CTEP) being offered in Cumberland House.
I am genuinely interested with promotional and revitalization initiatives with indigenous languages. I have facilitated workshops to promote indigenous languages through second language teaching strategies.I work with Elders and maintain a liaison to complement the Elders’ programs within eachschool.
