Lexie Obey

Lexie Obey is a 25 year old nehiyaw iskwêw from Piapot First Nations. She is a daughter, sister,auntie, youth care worker and nēhiyawēwin (Cree) language learner. She is one of the creators of. The Comeback Society, where she works to create community for urban Indigenous kin through podcasting (the Comeback Podcast) and programming. Lexie is currently coming back to her language, which started its roots at the local friendship centre. She is a student in the Indigenous Language Program at the University of Saskatchewan, where she is working to relearn thenēhiyawēwin (Cree) language for herself, her community and future generations.
